Every story on Flinchd is free, original and short. Nothing here is a reprint, a classic in the public domain or a summary of something you have already seen. Each one was written for this site for readers aged 13 and up, rated 13+ or 16+, and built to be finished in one sitting on a phone.
Pick a rating and go. 13+ means real stakes without gore; 16+ means dread and adult themes handled with restraint. Science fiction and horror are the pillars, with a little romance and comedy. Yes. Every story is free to read and free to listen to. There is no subscription or trial, and no account is needed to read; sign in with an email only if you want your list and your place to follow you across devices. Six to nine minutes. Long enough to get lost in, short enough to finish on one journey.

The Flinchd studio at Augeas Technologies. Every story is original fiction written for this site, checked for originality before publication, and never adapted from any book, film, series or game.

Flinchd is built for phones first. Text size and background colour are adjustable, and every story remembers where you stopped.
